What is PEPPOL?
PEPPOL is a European network for the secure and efficient exchange of electronic invoices and documents between companies and governments.
In Belgium, the use of PEPPOL is already mandatory for invoicing to the government, and from January 1, 2026, it is also mandatory between companies.
This ensures faster processing, fewer errors, and lower administrative burdens.
The PEPPOL format allows you to add a PDF version of the invoice, but this is not mandatory.
